Centuries later in the present, Eda's apprentice, Luz Noceda, and Belos' grimwalker subordinate, Hunter, temporarily find themselves in the emperor's mind in the episode, "Hollow Mind", where they discover of the Collector's existence and allegiance with Belos. After escaping, Luz, King, and Hooty travel to Titan Trapper Island in "Edge of the World" for help against Belos, only to discover both King's Titan lineage and that the trappers worship the Collector. The trio swiftly escape the island, but not before King makes a psychic connection with the Collector in a botched ritual sacrifice by the trappers. Once Belos is finally defeated, an exhausted Collector floats back to the Archives, at first afraid that the Hexsquad will punish him and delighted when Amity helps him up.
Powers / Skills
Meanwhile, Belos, after absorbing one of his unfinished grimwalkers, jumps to a window of The Collector's castle and possesses the Raine Whispers puppet. He then sneaks into The Collector's room and tries to possess him, but he is quickly restrained when The Collector wakes up by his presence. Belos convinces The Collector that he was magically brought to life and has come to warn him that King is plotting against him. The Collector doesn't believe him at first, until he eavesdrop on King's conversation with Eda and Lilith, coming up with a plan to stop The Collector once and for all but failing to see that King wants to try talking him down instead of sealing him away again.
Starting a New Game
Causing chaos.Playing "games".Annoying and teasing Belos (formerly).Seeking anyone to "play" with him.Hanging out with King. The Archivists in particular are shown to wear short, nightcap-like hats with planetary ornaments tethered to the pointed tips. This design was also seen with the anonymous collector shown in the memories of the Owl Beast, but with a brooch resembling a white moon shape with two opposite-facing orange crescent moons attached on either side. When Luz takes a blast meant for the Collector and explodes into many orbs of light, The Collector is left confused about what they did wrong and where did Luz go.
The Titan
Despite his childlike attitude, the Collector has proven to be cruel and heartless when crossed. With a temperamental nature and great power at his fingertips, the Collector is a dangerous and unpredictable force that will not hesitate to punish those who upset him and terrify others into obeying his demands. What happened to the other Collectors is unknown, but it is believed as life developed in the Demon Realm and new species of demons were born, the Collectors maintained a sporadic presence, capturing rare magical beasts for their collection.
Collectors (The Owl House)
Although he easily could’ve punished them, the fact that the Collector never did anything to the trio as revenge for beating him in the games further demonstrates how he never meant any genuine harm to anybody. The Collector innocently tries this method of forgiveness on Belos, proudly turning to Luz to show her how much he’s learned, but with his guard lowered, Belos takes this chance to try blasting him, prompting Luz to save him. Luz realizes she has been hit and becomes covered in the possessed Titan’s moss, causing her to die. The Collector is left confused as to what happened and tries to bring her back, but is left devastated and in tears for the first time in his life when he realizes his magic can't bring her back. A remorseful Collector, having grown fond of Luz in the short time he has known her, finally understands what death means to mortals and is terrified at the fact that he indirectly caused her death and that he might lose Eda and King too. After Luz revives and Belos is defeated, King gifts the Collector his precious Francois to keep him company in space and hugs him, telling him that he hopes to see him again someday and finally considering him a real friend.
Species
Belos assures the Collector the Day of Unity will come, right before Hunter arrives to deliver Belos the Portal Key after his solo mission at Eclipse Lake. After Hunter leaves, the Collector comes out from hiding and jokes with Belos about his doubts of Hunter's loyalty, eventually questioning Belos if the false purpose he gives Hunter is another way of tormenting the boy like he has with previous Grimwalkers. Belos disagrees with the Collector, and states that it hurts him every time the clones turn against him. After being beaten in each of the summoned games, instead of retaliating, the Collector goes to sulk in a corner, unable to understand why his new playmates are hurting him.

A passage in the Collector's storybook further implies that, while the Collector wanted to find friends, he viewed his race's observance and vindictive ways with disgust, as they killed many titans, living the collector devastated. Coupled with his desire to be friends with King and make him happy, his reactions indicate that the Collector yearns to have a companion like him who understands him. The Collector starts playing with King and his puppets, acting out scenes that very loosely depict events in the show.

As a spirit, he appears as a two-dimensional being with a half-split design; again with one side black with three sun symbols, and the other grey with three crescent moon symbols. The Collector is a childish and reckless entity whose personality mirror that of a pre-character development Luz Noceda. However, Belos reveals that he won't be releasing him, both because he's only using the Titan's Blood from the key to activate the Portal and because he doesn't want anyone else learning about their powerful spells, and instead drops his mirror down a pit in the Titan's skull.
At an unknown point in time, the collectors encountered another magical race, the titans. Fearing the titans' power, a group of the Collector's siblings, known as the Archivists, sent the Collector down to the Demon Realm under the impression that he would be playing with the titans. Upon arriving in the world, the Titans welcomed the Collector and quickly bonded with him, and he took a liking to their kids because of how cute they were. Unbeknownst to the Collector however, the Archivists slowly took out all the other titans, which left the only remaining titan furious at the Collector, believing he was the one responsible. The Collector wears a cloak that has celestial decorations on it; one side black with moons and stars, and the other grey with black suns. As a spirit, it appears as a two-dimensional being with a half-split design; again with one side black with three sun symbols, and the other grey with three crescent moon symbols.
When everyone reunites at the Owl House after the defeat of Belos, the Collector and Amity are seen happily talking with each other. They rush to the Emperor's Castle and, using Luz's words, the Collector tries to defeat Belos by befriending him. Unaware of the concept of death, the Collector tries to bring Luz back and is surprised when he cannot.
The revelation sees a change in the Collector, as he cries at the fact he hurt many people so carelessly that he shows sadness and empathy for the first time and is devastated for indirectly causing Luz’s death. Furthermore, he reacts in befuddlement to what tears are after his eyes begin producing them, completely at a loss of words for what the feelings mean, never feeling that kind of grief before. On some occasions, usually, if he is using magic whilst experiencing strong emotions, such as anger or excitement, his eyes emit a bright glow. In the ancient past, the Collectors watched over the worlds and stars of the Demon Realm. A long-lived race, their kind tasked themselves in observing the passing of time, observe and preserving all sorts of creatures so that they never fade.
He's unable to understand why his new playmates are hurting him when they start to defend themselves from the mortal games. It doesn't take long for the disheartened Collector to open up to Luz as soon as she approaches him, showing his desperation in wanting someone to understand what he’s been through. When she, along with Eda and King, shows him how they became friends and takes him on a trip around the isles recalling their adventures, the Collector starts to open up more and bonds with them, starting to see a new dimension to friendship he never realized before. The Collector is a former antagonist of The Owl House, acting as the secondary antagonist of the second season and one of two central antagonists of the third season. A mysterious, god-like entity known as a "collector", he[note 1] was originally trapped inside the In Between Realm where he spent centuries awaiting his release.
Belos also rejects this, saying that the Draining Spell must first work, which the Collector himself promised in the bargain. The Emperor then says their partner's patience will be rewarded, as the Day of Unity is merely 24 hours away. The Collector watches with Belos as witches from all over the Isles approach the Titan's head, grinning widely. Eventually, in the Boiling Isles' Deadwardian Era, a human known as Philip Wittebane went on an expedition to the Titan's skull where he evaded the Stonesleeper and obtained the Collector's mirror.
Afraid of their power, the Archivists waged war on the Titans, possibly on their own or with help from other Collectors. They were joined by the "Titan Trappers", a cult that, as the name implies, trapped Titans by dressing up as them, allowing the Archivists to kill them. The Collectors are first revealed in the second episode of the show's third season, "For the Future". According to the Collector's storybook, the Collectors, as their name suggests, "preserve" species on the worlds they exert their powers on. However, if a species tries to "meddle in their affairs", they are known to "clean their planets and scorch their air". As noted by Kikimora, they are neither witch or demon, and are mentioned to be incredibly long-lived.
